CONSIDERING EDEN, MARCH 31 - JUNE 9 AT THE ANNENBERG COMMUNITY BEACH HOUSE.

SANTA MONICA, CA -- The following information was released by the city of Santa Monica:
Considering Eden features the work of five mid-career California artists and their explorations in relationship to landscape, still life, and storytelling.
Eden may be a cultural memory, a stand-in for "simpler times", representing an ideal where nature's bounty was for the taking and life was uncomplicated and without conflict; this idealization is the unifying point of departure for these artists. The dissonance inherent in the act of representation fuels this work.
